“The Equine Impact: Horses impact the body, mind, and spirit across generational lines and beyond summer camp” by Kristina Blanchard Allen

The daughter of two Adventist teachers, Kristina Allen, spent her childhood summers at Camp Lawroweld in beautiful Maine. She went on to work camp horsemanship under Esther Lorenson at both Nosoca Pines Ranch in South Carolina and Camp Heritage in Missouri. Kristina practiced nine years as a Licensed Veterinary Technician for a full-service Equine Practice in upstate New York. Now a mom to four, Kristina lives and works as a Registered Nurse in Athens, Texas, directing horsemanship, and volunteering her time to Lone Star Camp where her husband, Bob Allen, is the camp’s Manager.
